SWGB= Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds
This is my childhood. This game. Zone.com. I only bought it again on Steam in case I lost the actual game disc, which I still have! I am glad so many people remember pouring hours upon hours into it. This is a classic RTS(real time strategy) game based on AOE2 (Age of Empires 2). If you liked AOE2 and like Star Wars this is a must buy. If you don't... you probably wouldn't like this game.
It is your typical RTS game. You gather resources, build an army and defences, then send your army to defeat your enemies until you or your team is the last one standing. However, the amazingness of this game is that it is STAR WARS! If you couldn’t tell… I love Star Wars.

I spent hundreds of hours playing this game especially the custom multiplayer scenarios people created for it. The summer I broke my finger and had to be in a cast… this is what I did. THE. ENTIRE. SUMMER. Was it worth it? Yes! I should mention this game is old. It originally came out in 2001, but don’t let the bad graphics scare you away!
Luckily SWGB Heaven is still up so you can find some of the many scenarios hundreds of players used to conquer each other. WB (World Blood. My favorite scenario!), JF (Jedi Fest), FB (Fort Blood), WW2, etc. you can still find on the internet. With Gameranger and Voobly you can still play online with strangers haha or friends. What made SWGB so enjoyable was the small, but tight-knit community that played it. It is possible to find other SWGBers even now. It is awesome to play some good 'ol WB again.
All that is missing is +Nite to ban players from the Zone SWGB Lobby for 24 hours (that lobby chat was insane).
